&Privé HD is all set to premiere the American black and white comedy-drama ‘Nebraska’ on 7 April at 1 pm and 9 pm. Directed by Academy Award winner Alexander Payne, the movie stars Bruce Dern, Will Forte, June Squibb, and Bob Odenkirk in pivotal roles.

Shot in black and white, ‘Nebraska’ is about an elderly booze-addled father Woody Grant (Bruce Dern) who happens to believe he has won a million dollars in a magazine sweepstakes after receiving a letter in the mail. He tries to convince his estranged son David (Will Forte) to drive him from Montana to Nebraska in order to claim his prize money. During a stop in their Nebraska hometown, word gets out about Woody’s fortune, first making him a hero, then later, the target of predatory people.

The broadcaster added that Payne’s movies are known for their dark humour and satirical depictions of contemporary American society, and this movie follows the same trend. As the story progresses, there will be those who will feel a stubborn father’s pursuit of an empty promise, but there will also be those who will feel a defiant man reclaiming his lost dignity.
